Engineering Economics and Management is the textbook which covers complete syllabus of the subject for the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) students. This book is an attempt to introduce basics of Management and Economics to the students of Engineering.
The book discusses concepts of Engineering and Management in a simple manner so that engineers who are studying management for the first time can grasp it well. The initial six chapters of the book deal with economics while the rest discuss management. They discuss topics like introduction to economics, theory of production and cost, various forms of market and national income, basic economic problems, money and banking etc. The chapters on management cover introduction and functions of management, functional areas like marketing, finance, production, human resource management. The last chapter discusses about business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
