He is a professor in Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses specializing in entrepreneurship development covering institutional capacity building. He has worked closely with UNIDO for investment promotion and entrepreneurship developmental activities in Asia, Africa and Arab regions. He has planned and implemented several training programmes in Africa and Asia covering various aspects of project development cycle and family business development. He has served as Director of Family Business Academy and Saudi Entrepreneurship Development Institute in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Prof. V. B. Nanda Gopal was first few to promote Entrepreneurship since 1983 for both individuals and Institutions in Creating New Business and Growth of Existing Business.
Earlier he has worked as Professor of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India Ahmedabad; Professor of Entrepreneurship at IIM Bangalore; Bangalore University Department of Management Studies; He was also the Director and Dean of Sikkim Manipal University, Sikkim.
Currently, Prof. V. B. Nanda Gopal is the Director of Center for Virtual Learning and Innovation at Jain University, Bangalore, where he has developed an innovative virtual learning system, through which content, study material and virtual lectures are made available to the students.
He is also an extensive writer, and has authored the many articles, which were published in the reputed academic publication "University News".
