Earlier he was at Government College of Engineering, Amravati (1990 to 2007) as Associate Professor. His research interests include Signal Processing, Image processing, Image retrieval and Soft Computing.
Prof. Atique is a Member, Board of Studies in Information Technology and Member Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati since 2007.
He is Fellow of IE (India), IETE, Senior Life Member of CSI, Mumbai and executive member of IETE, Amravati Centre. His writings have appeared in numerous ACM, IEEE and Springer publications and other professional conferences and journals.
